What is a Cuna?
It is an especially adapted pallet for light reels and wooden reels, facilitating the loading and transport operations, and preventing possible damage to the wood and to the contained cable.
How big is it?
The dimensions of the Cuna depend on the size of the reel that it is used for as it is optimised for every type of reel, minimising the space used and offering maximum guarantees during handling.
Is it used for all types and sizes of reels?
It is designed for bigger reels that weigh more, and which are more complicated to handle during loading and transport operations:
Bobina | 800 | 1000 | 1200 | 1400 | 1600 |
Ligera | x | ||||
Madera | x | x | x | x | x |
And, for other reels?
It is not necessary. Due to their weights and dimensions they can be handled and transported by Europallet.
Why are all the reels of the types mentioned above sent with Cuna?
The main reasons are:
- The demand of the transport companies to load the reels.
- To minimise the possibility of damaging the actual reel and the contained cable during handling and carriage.
- To favour safety measures and conditions at work
What is the Cuna used for?
It is a product that is specifically designed for reel loading and transport operations. Therefore, it is not suitable for other uses such as storage of the actual reel on shelves.
If the customer sends his own transport, is the Cuna necessary?
Yes it is. The standard presentation of all reels is with Cuna regardless of who carries out the carriage.
What is the demerit policy of the reels if there are any flaws or faults when returned?
The demerit policy is Cables RCT’s normal policy depending on the damage undergone by the reel.
If the cuna has any type of damage, what demerit has it got?
Cunas are not repaired so the demerit, in the event of any fault or flaw, would be 100%.
